July 21, 2023 - HDH auction at avec (Chicago, IL): #42-22, 12% abv. Electric and scintillating. Pretty much concentrated essence of riesling. Minerally, high acid, and chewy on the palate. Likely more convincing young, as it doesn't feel like this has the breadth to sustain extended aging. But so fun to drink now.

May 6, 2023 - Takes a while to come into focus after opening. The mineral signature here is like cracked pepper and powdered schist intertwined; this clearly needs to age to present best on the pop and pour. Still went down fast!

December 25, 2022 - #42-22, 12% abv. My first Niederberg. Not the same level as the Frühlingsplätzchen a few weeks ago, but a very solid bottle of dry riesling all the same. The nose is intensely herbal and lifted, with lime zest aromas too. On the palate this strikes me as a little bit green, and in comparison to the GGs, this is far lighter and less concentrated. Not quite the same intensity either.
