January 11, 2024 - A nice savory Barbera with great QPR. A little more dense and concentrated than expected, clean and soft tannins, medium plus bodied, fresh, medium plus acidity of course, blackberry, raspberry, slight hint of strawberry, clove, cedar. Nice mid palate, satisfying, well seasoned. Needs half an hour's aeration, but best till day 1.

November 22, 2023 - What a value! Cherries jump out of the glass, smooth to drink, a littly bit edgy but in a good sense.
Think of it as a simple, fruity Castiglione that is missing the herbal notes in the background.
Would not be devastated if i had to drink this one instead of the higher classifications from Vietti.

August 24, 2023 - Blind tasting is humbling, but I feel some pride in correctly guessing barbera here. Barbera has a distinctive flavor of concentrated tart red berries. This wine has plenty of that, but also a pretty rose aroma and a grenache-like richness and smoothness. It's among the best barberas I've tasted, and I'm surprised it to see it in with an 89ish score on CT. KKReinicke's review isn't wrong, but that's what Barbera tastes like -- jammy red fruit.

May 9, 2023 - Dalla Terra Portfolio tasting (Nostrana, Portland OR): The nose is savory and balanced with tones of dark red cherries, plums, raspberries, violets, crushed rocks, licorice, savory spices, and some rose petals. There is excellent balance and complexity, though it does lack some extra depth that would really draw you in. The Medium/full bodied feel is polished and refined with crisp, high acidity and silky, medium tannins. This is a lovely and balanced Barbera d'Alba that really leans into the savory side of the grape.
