March 14, 2024 - As commented below, this is a peculiar wine, dark orange/light brick in color, some sediments, a bit hazy. Not ‘nature’ funky and lower acidity than typical orange wine. On the nose light cream, rose hip, gently floral, hints of fudge and bitter orange. On the palate a wild mix of blood oranges, tomatoes, oak and sage. More fun than rewarding, quite hard to food pair. Nevertheless great to get to taste.

August 20, 2023 - The book club attacks Tolstoy's War and Peace with a multitude of perspectives (Sörmland, lake Båven): Rhubarb color, great sweet apple and peach nose and also freshness on the palate and flowing nicely and narrowly and cleanly all along the great finish.
I like this type of light touch skin macerated wines that doesn't exhibit any nasty side notes.
Recommended and even better with some air actually. -

June 26, 2023 - One of those 2023 Summer Bangers - this is Adam Sabelli-Frisch’s Lanterna (v21) made on the close to extinct grape Flame Tokay. Fascinating stuff in a style of its own w ample bitterness, freshness & texture. Pinkish-orange, slightly cloudy in the glass. Nose sings w campari meets Fanta blood orange, grapefruit, herbs & sweetish strawberries. Palate is medium-bodied, driven by brisk acidity & bitterness, fine tannic structure providing a tad chewiness, finishing surprisingly long on a bitter & salt-driven note.

December 22, 2022 - Blood orange, angostura bitters. Not as oxidative as the 2019 edition but still unique and well liked in our Sunday group

September 25, 2022 - Delish. Love the subtle orange peel and nutmeg elements on the nose. Fun texture with a little skin grip and just the right acidity. Good savory streak. More blood orange and chewiness on the finish. A good ripeness in there too. Really good stuff. Goes above generic orange wine and expresses a core and purpose.
