July 14, 2019 - Just outstanding! Decanted for just a few minutes and the wine is wonderful.

March 10, 2015 - Like a ripe, very modern Brunello. Still very Italian, load of sour cherrie, acid is high, the wine is very well balanced, and at a perfect place right now. No point in keeping any longer.

October 18, 2012 - An organic single-vineyard Sangiovese. Eligible for DOCG Chianti, but labeled as IGT Toscana because of its modern style to differentiate it from the more traditional Chiantis of the winery.
Deep, dark pomegranate red color that fades and starts bricking closer to the rim. Sweet, rich and characterful nose with ripe dark plummy fruit, forest fruits, some leather, a little wet wood, hints of tobacco and violets and a touch of chocolate oak. Dry, deep and complex palate with fruit-forward flavors of very ripe dark cherry, savory and meaty notes, some sour cherry bitterness, a little earth and nuances of smoke, peppery spice and dark chocolate oak. Wonderful structure of moderately high acidity and ample, grippy, powdery tannins. Even after four hours of air, the oak is kept check and the complex, slightly matured fruit stays in the lead. Long, spicy finish with flavors of dark cherry, ripe forest berries, some peppery spice and hints of tannic astringency.
A really wonderful "Supertuscan" (well, after all, this is really a Chianti) with good emphasis on complex, concentrated fruit. This is definitely more modern than any old school Chianti Classico, but with its tight structure and judicious use of oak, this is far from any monstrous super-modernist reds. Really wonderful effort and well worth the 29,14€. Decanting recommended; there is quite a lot of deposit in the bottle.1 person found this helpful Comment -

October 5, 2007 - Il Molino di Grace (Parco dei Principi, Rome): Ruby. Intense nose of flowers, fresh fruit (berries, plums), vanilla. Nice bright flavours, good/high acidity, low tannins, medium body, elegant. Good use of oak in the winemaking. Seemed very simple at first, but put on weight and complexity with time in the glass. Nicely made, but it stopped a little short.
