March 26, 2021 - Good 1er cru. On a riper and darker-tone side, but balanced, elegant, fragrant and tasty with no excessive oak. Probably at peak but no big hurry.

March 23, 2020 - paired beautifully with boef bourguignon. smokey, earthy notes with red cherry fruits and cherry pit. elegant but concentrated red fruits.

May 2, 2017 - Seemed so full of oak and baking spices I would have thought new world. Fruit is much too deep and dark to be a chambolle, much less a 12 year old. I wonder if the strength of 2005 was just too much, or if they thought the oak needed to match that power. A bit much for me, all in all. Not undrinkable though.

January 8, 2017 - Dried flowers on the nose. Medium body and length. A bit of tannin but still some fruit. Good

December 27, 2016 - Entirely atypical of chambolle - hard tannins, deep purple colour, strong iron character - more nuits. Extremely reductive to the point of being unpleasant. After 24 hours this character faded but still not a wine I enjoy.
