June 9, 2023 - Drunk for dinner with roasted pepper quiche. 14%. Deep rich yellow gold. Nose shows great complexity. Marzipan, grapefruit, roasted pineapple, lovely dry minerality with a touch of honeysuckle. A little short on the finish. Just enough acidity to keep it nicely balanced with a rich mouth feel. This wine continues to become more interesting with age. It has always impressed me and really shows what can be done with Pinot Grigio. It is now very much in its mature phase and won't get better - so drink up.

September 2, 2019 - On the nose, the first impression is of buttered popcorn, followed by sulfurous notes of sweat, scrambled egg, and garlic. Palate shows strong flavours of mashed pear and pear eau de vie, with rich notes of butter, vanilla, and thyme. Mouthfeel has a buttery element, but mild acidity is enough to keep it in check. Finishes with lots of minerality and sulfurous notes of spring onion and garlic. The sulfurous notes could be interpreted as a fault, but I didn't mind them in combination with the buttery notes. I drank this with butter-poached morels: the food and wine were both interesting and delicious.

September 14, 2008 - Not much on the nose. Tastes of minerals and lemon meringue with hints of pineapple on the finish. Well-balanced acidity.
