June 13, 2017 - Double Blind White Burg (Dauvissat Chablis) (Formentos): Served double blind in 01/04/05/08 flight. Medium gold color. The nose has some slight oxidation, which picks up in intensity with time in the glass. Bruised green apples and honey aromas. Palate has mature apple/pear fruit. The acidity is reasonably bright, but the fruit profile is quite mature and worsens in that regard with air. Drink up.

June 13, 2017 - Dauvissat Clos, Preuses and Forest at Lieu-dit Cru Annual(ish) Blind White Dinner (Formento's - Chicago IL): Served (almost) double blind to the group, single blind to me in Dauvissat 01/04/05/08 Forest flight. Slightly tired but still enjoyable.

September 30, 2016 - Served chilled. Fairly advanced light honey gold color. Took about 45 minutes to warm a bit and open up. Nose of white stone, flint, alpine florals, lime, and grapefruit. Once open the palate was precise, exhibiting layers of applecore, grapefruit, sea brine, and flint. Copious acidity and firm, steely structure. Only moderately long finish but lots of saline grip. Excellent but not great.

November 16, 2013 - Similar to before. Clear, medium yellow. Clean nose, - lemon, pear, together with roasted nuts, toast, smoky. Fully evolved . Full palette, still quite mineral with good acidity. Medium finish. Last bottle of the 6 I bought - has given a lot of pleasure.

October 23, 2013 - Pulled from the cellar at the Domaine. Fully mature. Intense nose. Citrus and clay notes. Lovely lingering finish. Great treat to end a wonderful tasting.

(Vincent Dauvissat (René & Vincent) Chablis 1er Cru La Forest) Light golden yellow color; lightly waxy nose; tart lemon, pear and mineral palate, a little subdued and shut down; medium finish

(Dauvissat Vincent Chablis La Forest) Light gold in colour. The nose is deep and honeyed. Understated and mineral is the palate, the best feature being the really excellent balance. The finish lingers with the fine acidity - a bottle that was suddenly empty - how did that happen?
