June 28, 2019 - Musique & Vin Paulée Musicale BYO Dinner (Château de Meursault): I had purchased this is Beaune one year ago in great condition (2 cm ullage) and stored it well there since. But old bottles are frail and somehow the cork had mostly fallen into the bottle and ullage by tonight was terrible (7 cm?) and while the wine was perhaps interesting and drinkable, it was really mostly oxidized.

1/12/2008 (link)(Louis Jadot Clos Vougeot) This was at full maturity. This had a heck of a nose with a cacophany of spice, earth, mineral, compote-like fruit, charcoal and violets. The palate had lovely concentration and purity with an earthy, brambly vibe to it along with bright acidity. Very high toned palate that suggested further development. A great wine and one of my best Jadot experiences to date.
