Community Tasting Notes 2

April 3, 2008 - High shoulder fill, slightly raised cork. Very light color; light, almost non-existant nose. Very light mouthfeel, very sour raspberry upfront, very acidic short finish. No development after decanting

March 11, 2008 - One of 13 older bottles picked up 'as is' at the local wine store.

Low neck fill. Top of cork rotted, cork barely came out. About a teaspoon of sediment. On opening, very light color, between a light Grenache and a Vin Gris. Very mushroom nose on opening. Light cherry upfront, little tannin, slight raspberry ending in a touch of mint.

+15 minutes Much the same as upon opening, perhaps slightly fuller flavors, still thin mouth feel. Some acidity showing.
    Still, a winner!

+30 Much the same, except stronger mushroom nose, more acidity at the end.

+45 Nose pretty much the same, the cherry is moving towards raspberry and the acidity has lessened and the mint is down to just a hint.

+60 Mushroom still going strong, no real development.

+90 Nose still mushroom, but a slight madeirized component, but the wine tastes like it's going

+105 It's dead. Still, for over an hour a drinkable if only slightly above average wine.
