Community Tasting Notes 7

  • VinLouie Likes this wine: 90 points

December 26, 2023 - Amber gold. Note of coconut, orange, and mango on the nose. Very complex tropical flavors of coconut, peach jam, and pineapple. Still very fresh and lively, but fruit flavors fade within an hour. Drink soon.

  • MDSomm Likes this wine: 88 points

May 24, 2014 - Lots of petrol and minerality on both the nose and the palate. Mod plus acidity but not overwhelming

June 1, 2013 - Paler, lighter bodied, high toned than the 08 and 98 and intense. Fantastic.

December 8, 2008 - Jay Miller comes to San Francisco (Caffe Sociale): Very young and pure, with suggestions of green apple, petrol and wet stone. This had a firm spine of acidity, a wonderful grippy texture, and a finish that went on and on. Lovely!

July 28, 2008 - This was one of the finest Rieslings I have ever tasted. I usually prefer off-dry, and I could not imagine a better example of the style than this wine. Awesome purity and precision, ethereal lightness, endless finish -- the same words I would use to describe a great Montrachet, but this a completely different animal. Brilliant. A+
