January 28, 2023 - Keller & Haart tasting (Concept Riesling, Düsseldorf, Germany): Massive wine. Lacking a little in precision, but it is amazingly concentrated with an insane, lenghty finish. Still has huge acidity. Drinking great right now, but plenty of life left.

    December 4, 2022 - blind vs Wittmann Morstein 2007
This time both were very close. No winner. Both a bit too broad and not precise in the finish. Honey, yellow stone fruits. The Keller with burnt candy floss. Both 92-93

November 10, 2018 - Super wine with immense concentration and length. Beautiful on the nose with flowers and fruits.

April 1, 2018 - Special Easter lunch (Restaurant Schwarzwaldstube ***, Baiersbronn, Germany): We opened the Morstein 2007 up about a hour before the meal and tasted a glass, then drunk the rest for lunch. For my personal taste the wine has a bit too much ripe fruit (mostly yellow stone fruit mixed with some exotics and the typical Keller pineapple) on the nose and also on the palate. Mouth filling and very powerful (typical for Morstein) on the mid-palate, then turning more precise while flowing into the long finish. Drink it not too warm because the wine could appear a bit alcoholic then. In a good drinking window, but no need to rush. I´m sure this could easily age for another one or two decades.

May 6, 2017 - GG aka Great Growth is becoming very trendy in EU since mid-2000. Keller is definitely one of my top favorite. Morstein is perhaps the purest, most mineral expression of Riesling in limestone. The 2007, close to 10yrs old, is sublime. Pure fruits, incredible depth and complexity, so dense yet weightless. As you could imagine it has perfect balance. Not easy to achieve such harmony and finesse at 13.5% abv. Still pretty primary and definitely will continue to evolve for the next decade. Top.
