March 10, 2024 - This opened thin and a little confused. Wasnt sure where it was headed. A couple hours in it blossomed into an amazing bottle of wine. Spices, beautiful red fruit, complex and gaining weight with time. This really came up in the glass. The perfume got better and better as did the wine.

March 8, 2024 - Thin on open with a great nose but acidic palate. This needed air and time - after 45 mins in the glass it got better and better until it was gone. Very pretty Chambolle with red fruit and florals. Give this time, it was not over the hill, if anything it needed a vigorous decant.

December 19, 2022 - Bright mid to light ruby, garnet at the rim. Slightly dusty mid red fruit, a slight hint of the autumnal and some iodine. Finely silky texture. Bright mid red fruit. Mineral line. ****

January 14, 2022 - Decanted off sediment. Cork was in perfect shape. Followed over 3 hours. Some perfume on the nose, but very little fruit. Palate is a bit lean and acidic. Not a bad drink, but not as expected. Feels like it needs way more time to blossom. Or maybe it's over the hill.

4/1/2009 (link)(Drouhin Joseph Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru) Medium cherry-red colour. The nose is deep, just a little plummy at the base and higher-up has lovely red cherry fruit - it just misses a little higher perfume. A really lovely extra dimension of fruit flavour that becomes more intense in the mid-palate and is borne on excellent acidity, except that it has a slightly sharp edge. The tannin is an understated fine grain as you head into mineral finish. Tightens-up considerably in the glass after about 1 hour - it becomes only half the wine it was before, so pop, pour and drink, or leave in the cellar another 3-5 years. Not perfect, but very good.
