May 28, 2018 - Superlative. Like a great Burgundy, “power without weight,” especially for Grenache. Everything in balance with notes of plum and other black fruits. Long finish with no evidence of high alcohol. I believe this has 10-15 years remaining. What a wine!

    March 3, 2018 - Quel choc émotionnel ! C'est magnifique...

December 12, 2017 - The debut vintage for this cuvee is fully mature, and it's still going strong. Full bodied, with spicy, black raspberries, pepper, smoked meat and kirsch notes from start to finish. The peppery, cherry tones in the finish, taste and feel great!

February 2, 2016 - Chateauneuf-du-Pape Dinner (Del Frisco - Chicago IL): Floral with lots of spice aromas with mature black berry, liqueur hints and earth hints. Softened and elegant structure is evident, providing great textures in this stage of its evolution. My WOTN, and I think in most others' top 2 or 3. I think Jim has owned this bottle since release, which I'm sure helped.

November 6, 2015 - With a beautiful floral note, that integrates into the thyme, kirsch and earthy, garrigue character, the wine has softened and fleshed out over the years. Fully mature, this is really in the perfect place for drinking pleasure.
