The 88 was a recent Domaine release, so fresh, and very good. The 96 was simply off the charts, and continues to be my favorite of all time.   April 9, 2012 - Ruchottes-Chambertin Dinner (Boka - Chicago IL): Mature ripe apple and tropical fruit aromas with new oak spice. Similar palate with more prominent spice. Also fairly mature. If representative, i would have imagined this as better a few years back, but still drinking well.
