August 22, 2021 - The structure is there for this to last many more years, but the fruit is a little porty at first. Eventually, it morphs into blackberry flavors, with herbs and espresso notes. Bold and powerful, but not heavy or sweet. Not so layered or long. Excellent effort for 2003, but I am not a fan of the vintage.

March 12, 2019 - Has aged well. Dark fruit, powerful, but now mollified. Tannins tamed. Some secondary notes, long finish. Very enjoyable.

Décevant , pas a cause de sa maturité, bien contreblancée par la fraicheur, mais sa finale sur la planche est déplaisante …
Attaque mure, riche et dense, fruitée, mais ça deconne ensuite!

October 9, 2016 - Monthly Tasting Group: Northern Rhone (Tilia, Mpls): Very dark red/purple color. Splash double decanted. Drank 1 glass over an hour. This also suffered from getting too warm in the restaurant, but at its peak, it had a nice freshness with very dark red berry fruits, blackberry liqueur, black cherry and plenty of savory, earthy and roasted character followed by anise and spice on the finish. It got more "cloudy" as it became warmer. The vintage character is there, and when cool it maintains correctness.

January 25, 2015 - Dark in color, lush, round and concentrated, with intensity of flavor and ample notes of stone, licorice, ripe blackberry, smoke, espresso and herbs.
