March 12, 2023 - A bit too ripe, noticeable bitters, still nice and enjoyable.

December 23, 2020 - Popped and poured...all plums, earth, leather, biscuit, a little red currant...with time it became more generous, positively fleshy but the tannins were pretty much non-existent...rather nice.

June 28, 2020 - Coravin fun - State of Play (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Sweet red plum, leather, tobacco leaf, sweet spice, backed earth, very slightly meaty notes, biscuit. More red currant than red plum in the mouth, tannins are fully resolved though there is a little vanilla and cream on the finish joined with a touch of bitterness. interestingly the tertiary notes from the nose don't really translate to the palate for me. Mmm.

March 14, 2011 - From Magnum. The color is surprisingly young of dark ruby red with a bit of brick tones on the rim. The nose is clean, elegant, intense, mature and well developed, really classic Bordeaux, with beautiful aromas of cedar wood, blackcurrant, cassis, warm forest floor, truffles, sweet earthy red fruit flavors and cigar box. The taste is medium bodied, very youthful considering its age, with already dissolved tannins, but an absolutely silky mouth feel. There are flavors of red fruit, coffee, a bit of vegetables, leather and chocolate. The finish is medium(+) long with a minty red fruit flavor and good freshness. This wine is characterized by great balance and now at its peak. 93 points
