July 24, 2021 - Drinking at its peak this is an exceptional Burgundy. Packed with lemon, peach, honey and whole spices. It delivers wave after wave of flavour. The depth on the palate and finish is outstanding and it is hard to find any fault.

August 22, 2020 - It was apparent this wine was in great shape from the first pour which showed a fresh green gold colour and an expressive nose of white and yellow peaches, freshly cut lemons, honeysuckle, cashews and a touch of cinnamon stick. The palate was richly flavoured yet pure reflecting the fruit characters of the nose with a touch of honey and butter leading into a finish with grip and persistence amplified by minerality and savoury touches. A lovely bottle of Montrachet with both weight and finesse.

December 23, 2018 - Elegant, intense lime nose. Delicious, elegant, ripe citric, very long with a mineral stony finish!

    December 21, 2018 - Winter Solstice Tasting @ JD's home (Groot-Ammers): Winter solstice tasting.
Some evolved notes in both nose- and taste, but still very good. Sauzet managed (maybe because of the slender vintage?) to make a very elegant expression of the Montrachet terroir!

December 1, 2018 - Ken's 60th Birthday (Smyth - Chicago, IL): 06/07/08 vertical. From magnum. Pale gold color. Gorgeous, full bright aromatics that have a laser focus with layers of orchard fruit and mineral. I found this richer/riper than the 08, which I ever so slightly preferred. Still well balanced with plenty of tension.
