January 26, 2011 - Medium yellow with a haze of free-floating stuff in there. Petrol, flint and car exhaust-like minerality on the nose. A little bitter apple emerges with air time, but the palate here is mostly a sweet-tart interplay with piquant edges. Maybe it's the acidity, maybe it's the age, but this comes across as suitable for "normal" auslese roles despite its gold capsule.
