December 6, 2017 - There are no great wines, only great bottles as they say ! In this case a 'lost wine' deep in the cellar and a 19 year bottle from a mixed vintage no less. However the colour was a correct gold with some green and the nose just jumped out with grapefruit, pineapple, pears, honey and nuts. The palate was rich and quite structured with a New World touch balanced by lovely acidity and drive. A delicious robust and properly aging bottle of CC.

September 24, 2015 - La Paulée Meets Chicago - Dinner (Blackbird - Chicago IL): Small pour, brief note. Good density, mature fruit, moderate nuance. Still drinking ok, but slightly past its peak.

July 12, 2014 - Bright golden yellow. A medium plus intensive nose of fresh hazelnut, ripe citrus fruit and some bread notes. In the mouth this has cracking acidity, but also great concentration and volume.mthere is tension and some steeliness. Quite long finish. Overall excellent and holding up very well for its age.

December 4, 2010 - Nutty smell, reminding me of sherry, sightly oxidized notes. But not too much oxidized and not overly oaky, like the last bottle I opened. But its clearly past the peak! Interestingly, the Perrnand-Vergelesses Premier Crus 1998 from the same producer was oxidized already in 2003, while the Corton Charlemagne survived another 7 years.

November 14, 2010 - Guess for this one the best time was over. Wood dominated.
