April 1, 2017 - Realized I had this in the cellar and this app told me it was 7 years past drink date. I aerated and it was good. Any longer and it would have turned bad.

April 24, 2010 - Fairly tight dusty berry nose. Some nice rich brambly fruit on the attack and mid-palate, but the finish is marred by some harsh and bitter acidity that took away most of the enjoyment of this bottle.

palate: very soft (in comparison to the aglianico, which means very little) some greens, medium tannin, berry-like fruit. I guessed dolcetto, but I didn't particularly enjoy it. It was OK. -

January 4, 2010 - quite heavily oaked; but underneath is less of ripe and extracted fruit and more of fresh (sour) red berries; which on the one hand is refreshing but on the other give you the feeling of heavy handed winemaking.
