June 23, 2015 - Beautiful deep red / purple color. The nose came alive 15 minutes after opening. The fruit was full and the tannins were soft in the background. Tons of fruit and earth that were balanced and elegant. The finish was long and slightly dry. This wine is perfect for drinking....

December 23, 2013 - this bottle was in good shape and the wine was very enjoyable. It demonstrated most of the nice qualities of Brunello with essences of dried cherries and earth.

October 3, 2013 - A glorious Brunello that shined on pop 'n pour. Nice cherry fruit flavors with the wonderful leather and earth I often detect with Brunellos. Some air gave this a deeper profile of fruit flavors and some floral notes.

October 3, 2013 - San Diego WineSpectator.com Offline, 10/3/2013 (Farm House Cafe, San Diego): Not decanted, but allowed to breathe in glass 30 minutes before tasting. Clear deep purple-garnet color. Bouquet of baked cherry tart, stewed rhubarb and prunes, leather, roses, fresh lavender, creosote and graphite. Polished tannins, medium-full body, rich, balanced, elegant, improved with air. Lingering finish. Outstanding.
