August 7, 2022 - Classical, complex, still aging potential

November 16, 2018 - Nice enough, but this bottle was a little on the flat side.

April 17, 2016 - This was really good tonight with dark, fairly masculine, penetrating, earthy, red fruit and firm minerality. There's exceptional depth and concentration here and the tannins on the finish are still rather firm and chalky. For me, this is in good place tonight but I also think that this has a lot of forward looking potential.

September 24, 2015 - La Paulée Meets Chicago - Dinner (Blackbird - Chicago IL): Mature red fruit with ok spice, lots of earth. Good enough now, but I wouldn't hold this much longer.

October 11, 2014 - This has really blossomed since I last tasted it a couple of years ago and is displaying pretty red fruit, earth, minerality, Asian spice, a hint of nutmeg, floral notes and firm chalky tannins on the long finish. There's admirable depth and concentration here and this was drinking really well after about 4 hours of double decanting, but it seems to me that there's a fair amount of unresolved structure that would benefit from more time in the bottle.
