July 26, 2011 - Drinkable on a hot day. Weak strawberry on the palate.

February 3, 2011 - Corks: Rhone (Rossford, OH): Muted palate on attack, hollow mid palate, slightly bitter finish. Dry. Dirty strawberry.

August 13, 2010 - I have ome to a few realizations about Rose in the last few years. I have one favorite - the Domaine Tempier Bandol - and a new varietal that was interesting enough to send me on a hunt for more - the Cabernet Franc Rose (the only one I've had so far was the Trust CF Rose from Washington). Other than that, Rose is like just liquid in my glass. Not really qualified to judge its quality - or don't care enough, might be a better way to say it - but I do know that this one leaves me empty like most of the rest. I do envy people who love Rose because it's a wine that probably deserves some investigation, but, for me, it's just a hard path to go down.

April 24, 2010 - Wines of France Tasting (Binny's, St. Charles): Notes of red berries and cherry follow through on the palate.

January 4, 2010 - Terroir-istes International - Rose-France, Australia & South Africa (Rodwell House): Grenache-led blend, the nose is striking with fresh fruit, Sauvignon pronounced flavours, rose petals, pea shoots, red berries and gentle spice. There is a freshness to the wine, yet the alcohol is warming. Good depth of flavour, slightly sharp acidity; this is a bright, gently phenolic rose that finishes with raspberry and strawberry notes.
