March 21, 2015 - Purple color with a bouquet and flavor of sweet tobacco, with some bite in the finish. Fairly good balance with a moderate length. Drink it up.

April 6, 2014 - Brilliant red/orange appearance. Bouquet of fresh and dried cherries, scorched earth, dank cave, smoke, and minerals. The red fruit palate is ferrous, linear, and precise, repeating the mineral theme, and needing time to open up. This is understated, closing with a beam of acidity and Band-Aid on the finish.

October 4, 2011 - Vintage characteristics of high tannins and tough structure. Dark Plums and sandalwood. Needed time to open up but still discernible oak.

September 30, 2011 - Cakebread, sourplum, and caramel roast on the nose. Blackcurrants and cassis, smooth tannins and nice balance.

October 9, 2004 - An easy afternoon with close friends (@ FD): Ruby. Barnyard and a lot of oak in the bouquet. Juicy black currants and liquorice. Full bodied and very juicy wine, however the oak is overruling everything at the moment. Wait 3 years, because this is definitely a good wine.
