March 27, 2021 - Sweet cassis, tea leaves, on the nose. Medium tannins, smooth, plum, blueberry hints, mushrooms, not like the typical Syrah, it has definitely smoothed out - more like a Ballard Canyon Granache. Has aged well, though at the end of its life.

February 4, 2013 - This wine is in a really good place. The fruit has settled down so that it is a dark, rich undercurrent to earth and smoke notes. A hint of smoked meats a respectable acid framework give this wine a lot of dimension. Very smooth, very deep.

December 11, 2012 - Pop and pour. Initial had smoke, some pepper and black fruit. Smoke blew off to leave it dominated by rich but somewhat one dimensional black fruit. Nice finish.
