1/10/2004 (link)(Dal Forno Romano "Nettare") When I think of nectar this is the color I envision. What is on this nose? Varnish, apricot, pear, pear essence, stewed apple, vanilla (not the oaky type), deep minerality on this ever changing nose. Unctous, Unctous, Unctous but with unreal acidity. Ripe, Ripe, Ripe but with almost Eiswein-like acidity. Flavors of persimmon, mango, papaya, custard and allspice on the palate. So complex and ripe. Very long finish that just tapers away. This is one of the most amazing desert wines I have ever had.
