April 18, 2024 - Still quite dense. Interesting profile- I wouldn’t have picked out the Nebbiolo except maybe the nose. It makes a good package - still some good fruit and acidity, but well softened. Great with lamb and roasted vegetables. I enjoyed it.

August 15, 2023 - Took a few minutes to open. Still inky purple, dark fruit and cedar notes in the bouquet. Full bodied, medium fruit, silky tannins, medium finish. Will probably hold a few more years but - at 17 - ready to consume.

November 16, 2022 - This is a blend of nebbiolo and barbera (50/50 according to online sources) aged in new oak. I’m typically resistant to anything untraditional in the wine world, but this wine works for me. It has exceptional weight and intensity, good structural balance, and a complex flavor profile. It tastes like it is still on the upswing and certainly will drink well a decade from now. For under $40 a bottle at KLWines auction, this is a steal.

October 3, 2022 - I really don't get this bottle. I love Nebbiolo, but never would have guessed that. I'm going to hold and see what happens because I'm not enjoying it in the current state.

December 31, 2021 - Inky, opaque purple. The palate has dark berry, blackberry, tar, and leather, with fine tannins. The character is wonderfully rich yet pure. Compared to my previous tasting from 2014, it seems this wine has opened a bit and gained some complexity of fruit. This is immensely enjoyable now, and is a great expression of Nebbiolo.
