October 17, 2010 - Brown spice, slight funky but complex nose with strawberry-blackberry notes; slight cola and a touch of bacon; medium body, good extract, good medium fruit core with earth tones in the mix. Classic and well made. Maybe give it a 90.

September 19, 2010 - Mistral French Bistro Dinner with Allen Meadows (Vancouver, BC): Pronounced and developing nose of massive red cherry and raspberry with hints of spice funky vegetal notes. Cherry flavours dominate the palate with some well integrated oak. There’s a masculine profile to this wine that makes it stand out in this flight. Finish is slightly lean leaving more tannin and acid on the palate than anything else. A bruiser of a wine. Very good.
