February 20, 2017 - Wow, still really powerful at this age. Deep red in color with minimal bricking but an amazing amount of sediment. Nose has menthol and pepper with a explosive earthiness and a pop in the end of blackberry. Full mouthfeel with lots of black fruit and tar with well integrated tannins. A hint of limestone comes on late palate and tannins show up just in the end. The finish has a hint of cigar box and trails in a long rasiny finish. In a good place right now.
