Community Tasting Notes 4

October 11, 2006 - I usually find that the Oregon Pinots fall between the two stools of Burgundy and Calipinot, and this is no exception. Dark cherry/purple color. Not especially giving on the nose. The wine's best feature was the full mouthfeel with a spice chaser. Somewhat flabby, but that arises more from the vintage than the skill (or lack thereof) of the winemaker. Decent for the price.

    January 7, 2006 - Excellent candy-fruity pinot.

December 23, 2005 - Christmas in Napa; Mostly Syrahs; 12/23/2005-12/25/2005 (Napa): Terrific pinot, great color and balance, nice finish, ready to be enjoyed

December 1, 2005 - Nice archetypal barnyard nose, mossy and mushrooms, jammy fruitiness upfront. Uncomplicated but balanced.
