September 25, 2023 - Decanted for sediment and immediately back into cleaned bottle and served with beef dinner. Obviously a old wine. Nose and notes of cassis, dusty earth, plums and leather. Everything fully resolved and nicely balanced, but you could tell the wine wouldn't last long. Went great with food and was fun for everyone to drink. A nice old wine that I will look forward to drinking again.

February 1, 2023 - A beautiful strawberry jam nose. Palate was not as interesting at first. Kind of dried out But half an hour later the strawberry is back and flavor intensifies showing red berry fruit with a bit of cinnamon #4 for me

January 28, 2023 - Fucking brilliant wine. In a tasting of '82s, the only one better for me was the Mouton and just a bit better than the Pichon Lalande. Beautiful and classic nose. Delicious red fruits, nice structure and acid, mice mature elements and a touch of green mint (or eucalyptus?). Hung in there over 5 hours, just a great wine!

April 23, 2022 - 1982 (A vintage dream); 4/21/2022-4/23/2022 (Hotel Jean Jacques Rousseau, La Neuveville, lake Biel, Restaurant des Bains, Avenches, Switzerland): Next MAG,
    and next oxy bottle one!

May 15, 2021 - Medium garnet in color. No bricking. Notes of blackcurrant, cassis, leather, cigar box, and a hint of mint. Dry on the palate, medium extract, fully resolved tannins, supple texture, medium acidity, medium low alcohol. Well balanced wine. The finish is of moderate length.
This bottle was in much better shape than the Coufran we had by its side but the complexity of the Coufran is just not found here. Even though there were more "faults" with the Coufran bottle, for me at least, it was more interesting. So my rating is higher here due to the condition of the bottle and not my personal preference.
