May 20, 2023 - On tour with Tim and Phil day three (Beechworth and Glenrowan): Awful funky nose but in the mouth there is gorgeous black fruit berry and spice, soft mousse, lovely palate.

September 29, 2020 - Last Tuesday Supper Club (One Penny Red, Summer Hill): Farmyard funk, bit of Brett perhaps? A litte dusty note, blackberry tends to concentrate, a touch of chalky minerality. The mousse is just about present. The wine is off dry, similar fruit quality, the Brett less prevalent though there is plenty of drying tannic burr here as well. Alcohol warmth is very present on the back of the palate

August 17, 2014 - Lovely crimson mouse, deep flavoured with mushroom overtone over rich fruit. Plenty left in the tank for good bottles.

August 15, 2014 - A Syrah Friday at Domaine (Domaine Wine Storage, Chicago IL): Nose: There is a lot of life in this with black cherries, black fruits, yeasty tones, spices, eucalyptus, and some piney tones. There is excellent depth to this with a lot of polish and balance to the tones.

Taste: Full bodied with crisp medium+ acidity. The feel is very polished and silky with a real youth to it and black cherries, yeasty tones, black fruits, eucalyptus, and baking spices on the back end.

Overall: There was still some bubbles left to this, but it was more like drinking an aged Shiraz. This was a much better bottle than previous and it showed off all sorts of beautiful balanced fruit.
