  Purple artificial cork. Moderate red color with some bricking, but quite a youthful look for a wine this old. Aromas of blueberries and raspberries, but teetering towards port aromas.

  July 31, 2012 - Very juicy black fruit. A touch grapey even. Has some floral notes as well. Has enough of a backbone of tannins and acidity to hold up the fruit. Has enough left to suggest it has some years ahead of it.

  January 23, 2009 - First impression was a very reticent nose. Dusty tannins covered the fruit. Decanted and waited an hour. The merlot is there but faded with tannins that did not seem integrated.

  February 16, 2006 - Rich and thick, a wonderful mouth feel. Loads of dark fruit. One of the best merlots I have ever had.
