Community Tasting Notes 2

June 23, 2017 - Time to check in on some 2007 Austrian reds; 6/6/2017-8/31/2017: Pale gold. Intense but elegant on the nose, with a hint of oxidation but still very fresh. Pears, maybe pears poached in white wine with spices. Round and grippy in the mouth. A bit of yeastiness. Long clean finish. Lovely

March 6, 2012 - Pale yellow gold with a silvery sheen. Powerful aromatics with yeasty and mineral notes, apples and pears, and a streak of honey. Softly softly entry on the palate, but then builds power before a long, lingering aftertaste. Somehow reminiscent of honey and lemon cough linctus. But nice! Plenty of life left in it too.
