July 5, 2019 - Domaine Tasting at Y Clerget (Pommard): Blind PnP. Cleary very traditional wine-making a rustic in styling. This had good concentration of dark fruit with firm acidity and tannin. Old school through and through. Seemed about 20 years old and acidity took me to 1996.

July 5, 2019 - Y. Clerget Cellar Visit and Tasting (Pommard): Popped and poured, served to us blind at the end of the tasting. Clearly older, seemingly from a less ripe vintage (I was thinking 1993 Volnay 1er). Massive structure dominates, slightly coarse, and very old school in every sense, including being just a hint too dirty. I was shocked to see this from 1996.
