August 9, 2019 - Some cork taint. Strong underlying material.

May 31, 2019 - Nose is fresh and definitely has a slatey / shelly mineral. Fruit is a little underwhelming with some green apple and pear. Missing weight, thought this should be a little more dense and rich, a little short on power. Actually, with a lot more air this gained moderate weight and richness and the wood spices seemed to perk up quite a bit. Good but expected a little more.

March 9, 2019 - This is great. Mineral, fresh but still full. Drink now-10yrs.

December 12, 2018 - Eric's visit to DC - Champagne, White Burgundy, Rhone, Piedmont and etc. (Officina - Washington D.C.): Just like the 97, very light color which is expected from a properly cellar Raveneau. Beautiful harmonious nose displaying subtle white fruit, fresh lemon, pear, a hint of burnt sugar, vanilla, cool mountain stream, saline and wet stone. Fully integrated palate, finely layered subtle yet fresh and energetic white fruit, pure and precise, slight lacking acidity which is compensated by strong wet stone mineral, and a long subtle white fruit driven finish with strong wet stone at the end. The 00 Valmur is very similar to the 97 but not as energetic and exciting. It is interesting to note that the 00 is trading significantly higher than the 97. Drinking beautifully.

September 8, 2018 - A more rounded and advanced profile vs the Clos, but still with a good acid spine.
