  July 10, 2022 - Not a lot of clothes on this particular emperor. Opened and decanted for about three hours, consumed over three more, and...yeah, it's fine. Nice nose, pretty good taste, and...eh. Not even remotely worth the $160 I paid for it nine years ago.

  December 9, 2018 - I like this very much. For 20 years, I've admired big red wines that have a deep aroma that I can't describe well. "Ink" is the best I can do. This wine has lots of ink, along with cassis, plums, pencil shavings, and black truffles -- all making up a cohesive whole. Big but not too big, this wine is easy to drink. Drink now.
