August 19, 2017 - AA's wedding; 8/17/2017-8/19/2017 (Fremont, CA): Classic mature Bordeaux - Black fruit, riper and more Merlot-driven than the Reignac, slight pyrazines, brett, new oak. Sweet tobacco and tamari tertiary notes.
Dry, medium body, medium plus alcohol, medium tannins - very soft and melted. Everything is here!

July 9, 2016 - Dinner at Home (Fremont, CA): Deep ruby with minimal bricking, less than expected for age; moderately aromatic with some sandalwood, tobacco, figs prominent on the nose; palate is full bodied, fully integrated medium tannin, medium acid, balanced medium alcohol, smooth texture throughout, red fruit; medium finish. This is ready to drink and mature, but it has at least 1-2 years left. Overall a very nice bordeaux for the release price. 89

February 9, 2016 - From 750: This may be an outlier score, considering the scores given by other cellar trackers, but I beg to differ. Given the lowly appellation, this wine is really impressive. Lovely nose leads to a well balanced palate showing the coffee and chocolate notes that Merlot often exudes. Chunky perhaps, rather than elegant, and perhaps a little lacking in acidity, this wine delivers. Last bottle. Wish I had more.

November 18, 2015 - Pleasant nose with pencil shavings and dark berries. Full but not over powering tanins. Served with steak, very nuce.

August 16, 2014 - Party (Fremont, CA): Coravin 8/16/14: I last had this 2-3 years ago and thought it needed a few years. Deep ruby color without bricking, youthful appearing; nose has some sandalwood, good density, a core of black fruits that is somewhat impenetrable; palate is full bodied, dense black fruits, fades just a tad through the midpalate, still very primary; finish is medium length. I was wrong... this needs even more time to settle in and develop more complexity. Promising components though, and I think it will be a good daily drinker in a few years. 88-89 now.
Update: with 30 minutes of air this comes out of its shell a bit more. More complexity on the nose. Solid 89-90 and could still use a few years but may fall off soon after that.

August 12, 2013 - Right at the drinking window. Pretty resolved in terms of the balance of the wine just not so much in the nose, fruit or finish. A nice Monday beverage.
