December 19, 2016 - Pretty nose, Fruitier side, crunchy tart red fruits, some iron and blood, formidable tannins, but beginning to soften. Finish has verve, a bit of cherry chapstick, but not in a bad way.
Day 2, prettier, more elusive, forest floor, cherry cola. Still a pleasant grip from tannins but well integrated. Not sure why CT hates this wine so much. I think it's lovely.1 person found this helpful Comment -

October 29, 2013 - Really pretty, spicy Nuits that possesses good detail. It is fine and lacy in the mouth with bright red berry fruit overlaying a mineral base. It finishes with great cut.

February 21, 2013 - I don't understand why everyone is all about this guys wines. They are unbearably tannic in their youth and the fruit is not so brilliant to last. And they are expensive, very expensive. Had at Joe Beef next to de Montille Taillepieds 07 and no one much wanted to drink this. Natural wine funk and red fruit nose (quite pronounced, mind you). Sweet fruit front and very ripe for 08. Very tannic. Adequate acidity. At minimum it is very disjointed. At maximum, it just isnt very good.

January 17, 2013 - TTTG (very brief notes) (Vernon, CT): Fairly light-bodied (thin); med-low grippy, slightly chalky tannins but plenty of acid. Simple palate predominantly of cherries, tart finish. None of the plushness and silkiness of previous Pacalet.

January 17, 2013 - Blind Wines @ Salil's (Vernon, CT): A wine that did not get a lot of love tonight. While not a very giving wine, I did find some redeeming qualities. A bit tart, but in a slightly lifted, palate cleansing manner. Crunchy, high toned and inflected with iron-flakes. Not a wine for lovers of fruit. Not showing much plushness, but quite drinkable with some food.
