May 5, 2023 - Negoce face-off at Bellyhappychef: My contribution. Some felt this had tertiary notes but to me this was still quite secondary albeit advanced - as with some of my previous experiences with ‘08s - nose had some soy and VA notes. Someone managed to nail the vintage (and maker) because of the acidity. Thought this was a good example of a resolved Burgundy in its drinking window, but not so representative of a Chambolle. Drink up before the tartness completely dominates.

December 2, 2022 - Jadotfest 22; 12/1/2022-12/2/2022 (The Medlar): A generous backup shared after a couple of disappointments. On the nose - lovely, there's a kind of florality there which follows onto the palate. Some redcurrant, a delicacy to it - but still that lingering acidity that makes me think that my 08s can wait a little while longer before I bring them out of storage.

December 1, 2022 - Richard's Jadotfest (The Medlar, Chelsea): No formal note but this had bright raspberry fruit, touch of florals, crisp on the palate, mostly tannin and acidity on finish. Difficult to read.

December 1, 2022 - 2022 Jadotfest (Medlar, Chelsea): Summoned off the bench to substitute for the Cazetiers. Gentle on the nose, quite tart and refreshing, undemonstrative but classy and enjoyable.

December 1, 2022 - Jadotfest 2022 (Medlar, London): Redcurranty nose. Some underbrush and ground green peppercorns. Rich and pleasurable. There is little fruit cake here. Lovely stuff. Generously opened by our host replacing a corked bottle.
