April 14, 2022 - Pitch perfect old-fashioned Aussie Shiraz exactly how I like it, better than recent Granges. Gunflint, flamboyant plums, minerals, liquid coal, savoury (as opposed to unsavoury), pretty sensational attack. On the palate, plush and fully mature, tar, asphalt, with rich lush fruit, great wine. It is probably approaching the end of its drinking window so will drink the other one soon. Comfortably *****

December 24, 2021 - Dark, brambly, spicy aromas and with earthy, forest floor notes. The palate is savoury with bbq meats and tapenade with blackberry and blackcurrant flavours. Lovely balance to this wine which has aged brilliantly.

February 12, 2020 - Monthly Tasting Group HWS #146; Australian Shiraz (By JZ): Beautiful bouquet with red berries and some dark berries. Same on the palate, dark berries as well, earth, herbs and spices and good acidity. Beautiful wine.

March 30, 2019 - 18 years young & balanced beautifully, medium body, good colour still. Long finish & well integrated. Great result for a lesser year. Cellaring has benefitted greatly. Yum

March 3, 2019 - Still youthful looking, dark ruby with purple highlights. The nose is smoky with damson, blackberry, blackcurrant and blueberry aromas. To taste there’s lots of blackberry and blackcurrant fruit, soft and elegant with warmth. Tannins are integrated with good acidity and surpris8ng freshness given its age. Excellent.
