August 13, 2023 - Tasted blind, this wine had a deep red center with oranging rims. The medium intensity nose offered up black cherries, minerals, cola, and some roasted meat.
In the mouth, this wine still seemed a bit reserved but still showed great balance, light rounded tannin, and excellent length.
I expect this will improve by a point or so with an additional 5 years in the cellar and will certainly be providing pleasure long after that. -

November 26, 2022 - A stunningly youthful bottle. More in the way of black olive and brine than bacon fat and smoke. Supremely clean and pretty example. Gorgeous floral detail above rich black fruit. 94 - 95.

March 5, 2022 - Stunningly delicious bottle of Côte Rotie, affirming the aging potential of Syrah from a top year in the hands of a wine artist. The wine did not fade over 4 hours but I think it’s time to move ahead and enjoy this wine while it’s still at peak.

May 12, 2019 - Still a pretty good wine. See my notes of 6-2-17. Has faded just slightly from the last tasting, but still memorable.
