  May 8, 2022 - Big, rich, voluptuous, ruby red, and with a finish that really lingers, this is now hitting its stride. Lots of red fruit, cherry blossom, some camphor, cedar, and subtle acid notes. Decanted 3 hours and it really opened up after 2. Paired beautifully with A5 Wagyu. Sublime.

  May 1, 2022 - Massive. Big rich sweet but with good freshness. Black and red fruit. True depth. Very long complexity coming. Wait for 5 years, then will last for 15 years plus.

  January 27, 2022 - Vérité Decanter Series Tasting - Yummy!; 1/24/2022-1/27/2022: Part of a Decanter series tasting kit in 100 ml bottles.
  
  Nose showed cherry blossom and blueberry with cocoa and cedar notes. Palate showed dark chocolate covered cherry with mocha notes, tar notes and hints of well-integrated toasted oak. Tannins are more polished than the 2018, and there is some secondary/tertiary flavors emerging, but this wine still has a ways to go before truly showing its full splendor. I would agree with Decanting Queen that this will improve through at least 2028. Very well built wines! 96 today, and could improve a point or two down the road (I suspect it will). IMO, this is drinking the best of the group right now.

  December 19, 2021 - Drank as part of the Decanter at Home tasting. In general, I found these 2008’s to be a bit adolescent for my palate. They have lost the freshness of youth, but the grippy tannins and structure hasn’t completely smoothed and there is clearly more development to some.
  I am scoring these very conservatively and for how they are drinking today. I think I would like them better in 2028.
  
  Dark and inky, plummy almost stewed fruit nose. Still fresh and plenty of acid, Christmas spices, plenty of dark fruit and much darker than the 2018. Long Verite finish.
