October 20, 2013 - Bought this wine on the recommendation of K&L wines. It was on $10 and I got what I paid for. Pretty thin on the palate and not much of a finish. Minimal notes of fruit. Pretty much what I would expect for an inexpensive house wine at a neighborhood Italian restaurant. Probably will not buy again.

May 18, 2012 - May Fiesta (Casa): Serviceable red with pleasant showy fruit and some medium body and a little nuance to match. Solid QPR wine. First of the night and not a bad start.

January 21, 2012 - Needed time to open. Smooth tannins but not much of a finish. There is a dark cherry profile here but also a bit of dried fruit. I don't see this developing very well over the next couple of years. Even at $10 you can get a better Sangiovese-based wine than this.

December 5, 2011 - A very nice, easy drinking Tuscan wine. Juicy Sangiovese with some Tuscan earth and herbs. Not as exciting as Alighieri's estate wines from the Veneto but a great mid-week wine in the $10-$14 range.

October 16, 2011 - Upon opening, very closed and slightly disjoined with some rust on the nose. On the second and third night however this was a nice dense wine with elements of iron, sangiovese like melted cherries, mineral and almost floral nose that got weaker but more pleasant over time. Nothing special but certainly worth the $10 I paid for it. If you have this I would recommend long decanting or a year or two more in a bottle. 87+
