Community Tasting Notes 5

March 8, 2014 - Inviting licorice nose but thin and watery on the palate.

April 17, 2013 - More purple in colour (than the 2008)
More focused and a more pronounced purple/violet-like fruit character.
Intense and intensely sappy to me… actually becomes a little sour too… odd.

January 5, 2013 - One off bottle that had been in the cellar. Didn't know the wine before drinking tonight.

Medium purple color, great clarity. Nose was fragrant and floral. Tart Red fruits on the back of the palate, strawberry and hint of lavender. Medium finish. Tannins are resolved. Very elegant and drinkable wine. Drink now, won't improve much

    16/20

February 12, 2011 - La Paulée de New York 2011: Normally I couldn't give a damn about color, but WOW, this is a gorgeous purplish red of such intensity it floored me. Alain explained he's making a killing with this with restaurants. More power to him. Slightly carbonic nose blowed off quickly after pouring, revealing a simple but pretty wine. Pure fruit. Could liken to many other simple charmers in different varietals.
