96 Points

Saturday, March 4, 2023 - Tasted double blind. Wow, amazing showing. The sweet, pure red fruits, the aromatic balance and restraint and the most elegant Cabernet structure make this a special wine. Despite being young, this was so great to drink. This shows again, that many 2015s are not really shutting down (which is not true for the 2016s) and that Ducru has significantly upped its game in recent years. 96/97pts.

TN: Expressive, seductive pure strawberry, raspberry nose, with some crushed rocks too. Very inviting and quite pure but sweet. On the palate there is such a fine red berries core (right bank like but without the ripeness of the right bank), very well complemented with crushed rocks, tobacco, truffles. Hardly perceptible tannins, good tension, so satin-like, light, airy structure. Superb balance.

Decanting: Quickly double decanted and put back in the bottle 12 hours prior to consumption which seemed perfect, only needed a few minutes in the glass to open up. So it needs some air.
