Monday, August 6, 2018 - Opens slowly. Perhaps a dumb phase. Tasted along side the JOBLOT Givery 2005 Cellar au Moines, this wine barely held it's own. Opened with time in glass. Elegant wine, hinting of future greatness. Hold this wine and enjoy in the years ahead..

8/7/2018 8:32:00 AM - My understanding and experience with Corton is that wines from this vineyard largely do their best in their youth (release + 2 years) and don't show their complexity again until 25+ years post-vintage. A few years ago we had some from the 60's that were brilliant...if you have more of this wine hopefully you can check in on these when they get that old...thank you for sharing the notes.
