2013 Fratelli Brovia Barolo

Community Tasting Note

wrote:

Monday, December 24, 2018 - Cherry palate and with air, some strawberry notes, hints of balsamic, open and approachable, but some jagged tannin that has to smooth out. This is very enjoyable and should be quite good in five to seven years. First bottle from a case, brought to Boca and opened Xmas eve with H, a porterhouse steak and grilled vegetables.

12/27/2018 12:51:00 PM - Surprised to see this note - the one we opened a few months ago was utterly undrinkable in its tightness, even after two days open. I trust your palate, though. Very curious.

12/27/2018 3:42:00 PM - SK, perhaps your bottle had already closed down, whereas mine did not. I'm sure this wine will soon go into closed mode for a few years. I also bought a case of the '13 Garblet Sue (from our mutual friend), and I won't be opening any of those for many years.
