  Light color, with an orange rim. Aromas of seaweed and cherry. Light body, very present tannins and high acidity, with a dry cherry flavor, young but already scintillating. We had the 2010 Rocche di Castiglione a few days earlier, and this one is much nicer for drinking now, though the tannins and acidity suggest that it still has a long life ahead. Very tasty with a rich lasagne, which offset the acidity quite effectively. Four of us went through the bottle very quickly.

  Solid and balanced. Lots of lovely detail in the aromatic nose and on the palate, but they required close attention. Dark cherry, warm spice. Tannins, acidity and fruit are well harmonized. Double decanted about an hour in advance. Thoroughly enjoyable.
