Saturday, April 13, 2019 - Super complex nose - initially displayed lots of violets and floral, with licorice, black cherry, blueberries, camphor, forest floor and baking spices. Over the course of about ten hours, it developed this incredibly fun and distinctive note of Hubba Bubba Bubble Gum and cotton candy. Totally unique and like nothing I've really ever experienced.

On the pallet, this is medium to full bodied with mostly blue fruit and solid depth of flavor. It's rich, taut, has great balance with good acid levels. The tannins are quite prominent but well integrated, and it finishes long and pure. The only place I felt this was lacking a bit was the mid pallet, and that may come around with time in the bottle. It is certainly still a baby.

Had next to a 2016 Vice Versa BBS LPV, which was a bit better in that it just had more of everything. It's also $115 more a bottle direct.
